About XLRI
75 Years of Excellence
Founded in 1949 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in the steel city of Jamshedpur, XLRI – Xavier School of Management (formerly Xavier Labour Relations Institute) is India’s oldest business school. In 2024, the institute celebrates its Platinum Jubilee, marking 75 years of academic excellence and social impact in the field of management education.
XLRI holds prestigious global accreditations from both AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), AMBA (Association of MBAs) and Business Graduates Association (BGA), reflecting its adherence to the highest international standards in teaching, research, and governance.
